Low Back Pain

The Effect of Salat Intervention on Chronic Low Back Pain Women

"Low back pain (LBP) is defined as pain and discomfort, localized below the costal margin and above the inferior gluteal folds, with or without referred leg pain [1]. LBP may be acute (less than 6 weeks), sub-acute (6-12 weeks) or chronic (more than 12 weeks) [1]. Flexion relaxation phenomenon (FRP) is a phenomenon where there is a silent or decrement of electrical activity in the erector spine during trunk flexion. In LBP patients, FRP is usually absent [2-4], however it absent in LBP patient is inconsistent [5]. Exercise therapy is a treatment option available with strong evidence in reducing pain and disability, especially for chronic LBP [1, 6-10]. The objective of this study is to assess the effect of salat intervention on chronic LBP women using electromyography (EMG)."
